CDS Exam Criteria

Qualification for Army Wing of CDS: Candidates interested for CDS 2019 exam must have a pass
(i) For I.M.A. and OTA Chennai: Degree of a recognised University or equivalent.
(ii) For Indian Naval Academy: Degree in Engineering from a recognised University/Institution.
(iii) For Air Force Academy: Degree of a recognised University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering.

CDS Exam Age Limit

(i) For IMA: Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 1996 and not later than 1st July, 2001 only are eligible.
(ii) For Indian Naval Academy: Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 1996 and not later than 1st July, 2001 only are eligible.
(iii) For Air Force Academy: 20 to 24 years as on 1st July, 2020 i.e. born not earlier than 2nd July, 1996 and not later than 1st July, 2000 (Upper age limit for candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot Licence issued by DGCA (India) is relaxable upto 26 yrs.
(iv) For Officers' Training Academy (SSC Course for men): Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 1995 and not later than 1st July, 2001 only are eligible.
(v) For Officers' Training Academy (SSC Women Non-Technical Course): Unmarried women, issueless widows who have not remarried and issueless divorcees who have not remarried are eligible. They should have been born not earlier than 2nd July, 1995 and not later than 1st July, 2001.

NDA 2019 Physical Standard

Applicants must be physically fit according to physical standards for admission to COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICES EXAMINATION (I), (II) 2019.
The minimum acceptable height is 157 cms (162.5 cms. for Air Force). For Gorkhas and North-Eastern regions of India, Garhwali and Kumaon, the minimum acceptable heights will be 5 cms less. In case of candidates from Lakshadweep, the minimum acceptable height can be reduced by 2 cms. Weight is considered normal if it is within ±10% departure from the average weight.

CDS Examination Fee

Candidates have to pay a certain amount as an exam fee for CDS exam through online or offline mode. Reserved categories applicants are exempted from payment of application fee are displayed below. Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 200/- either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India or by using Visa/Master/Rupay Credit/Debit Card.

How to Crack CDS Exam 2019

UPSC COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICES EXAMINATION (II) 2019 is a dreaming job for all defence job aspirants. The selection process for CDS 2019 is based on two stages like written test and SSB Interview. All candidates clear the written tests are called for SSB, which is further categorized into Interview, Group Testing Officer Tasks, Psychology Tests and the Conference. Full SSB interview task will be finished over four to five days.

How to Fill Up CDS Exam Application Form?

All interested and eligible applicants are required to apply online by using the UPSC official website. Online registration for CDS examination 2019 will be finished on or before 08 July 2019.

Online registration for the CDS exam is commenced in two parts (I & II).
Part-I is for Basic details of candidates and in Part-II, candidates give photograph and signature & application fee.
After completion of online registration, candidates have to take printout for future reference.


CDS Exam Pattern 2019

All interested candidates appearing in upcoming CDS exam must know the correct exam pattern. This Examination is consist of total 1800 marks out of which written test is consist of 900 marks & SSB interview is 900 marks. The total duration of examination is 05 hours objective type questions in OMR pattern. The exam is conducted in both Hindi and English medium. 0.33 % marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
